Η Δέσποινα ΑΝΑΓΝΩΣΤΟΠΟΥΛΟΥ, Κάτοχος της Έδρας Jean Monnet, είναι Επίκουρη (νυν Αναπληρώτρια) Καθηγήτρια Πολιτικών και Θεσμών της Ε.Ε. στο Τμήμα Διεθνών και Ευρωπαϊκών Σπουδών, στο Πανεπιστήμιο Μακεδονίας. Είναι Δικηγόρος, κάτοχος μεταπτυχιακού τίτλου στο Δίκαιο της ΕΕ από το Ελεύθερο Πανεπιστήμιο Βρυξελλών-ULB και διδακτορικού διπλώματος, υπό την επίβλεψη του Καθηγητή, Δικαστή της ΕΕ, Κρατερού ΙΩΑΝΝΟΥ, από το Δημοκρίτειο Πανεπιστήμιο Θράκης. Έλαβε προπτυχιακές και μεταπτυχιακές κρατικές υποτροφίες, 3μηνη υποτροφία Jean Monnet EUI στη Φλωρεντία και διάκριση για συνεισφορά σε εθνικά θέματα από το Δημοκρίτειο Πανεπιστήμιο Θράκης. Έκανε πρακτική (με επέκταση διάρκειας) στη Νομική Υπηρεσία της Ευρωπαϊκής Επιτροπής και επιλέχθηκε να ταξιδέψει στην Ιαπωνία. Είναι επίσης Ερευνήτρια στο Κέντρο Διεθνούς και Ευρωπαϊκού Οικονομικού Δικαίου (Θεσσαλονίκη), όπου ξεκίνησε ως ασκούμενη για 3 χρόνια και συνέχισε ως υψηλού βαθμού πλήρης ερευνήτρια για 10 χρόνια ακόμη. Έχει συντονίσει πολλά προγράμματα Phare, Twinning, TAIEX και άλλα, και έχει οργανώσει μια πληθώρα συνεδρίων. Έχει διδάξει το δίκαιο της ΕΕ σε μαθήματα 30 ωρών:
- στη Νομική Σχολή του Capital University, OHIO, ΗΠΑ (ένα μάθημα),
- σε θερινά μαθήματα που διοργανώνει το ίδιο Πανεπιστήμιο των ΗΠΑ στην Ελλάδα (6 χρόνια), και
- στην Εθνική Σχολή Δικαστών (6 έτη).
Από το 2004 είναι εκλεγμένη Λέκτορας στο Πανεπιστήμιο Μακεδονίας. Οι δημοσιεύσεις της ξεκίνησαν το 1990 και έκτοτε συνεχώς (συν) συγγράφει και επιμελείται βιβλία, συνεισφορές, άρθρα με επίκεντρο τις περισσότερες πτυχές του δικαίου της ΕΕ.
